At Jim and Mary’s house work continued on the bathroom and the shower was delivered today so we can finish laying out the new floor and walls.
At Jackie’s The window trim was finished and the kitchen cabinets installed. The trim crew then started the crown molding while painting continued.
Mike and Lee left to drive home right after work and Jo plans to leave tomorrow morning. We hope to see them again soon.

The day started off foggy but by mid-morning was bright and sunny.
Today Max, Bruce, Mike and Lee went to Jim and Mary’s house to start the bathroom rebuild. Of course, the rebuild started with demolition and that took all day.
At Jackie’s two rooms were finished, the master bedroom closet and bathroom were painted and made ready for trim. Kitchen cabinet installation began.
A lot of progress was made today.

Today was a rather warm, high of 82, and mostly cloudy day. We had a little sun and it didn’t rain while we were working. However, it poured down just as we got back to Fred. We are supposed to start a cooling trend now. It’s going to be a slow drop in temperatures but the low a week from Wednesday is 31. That’s a little cooler than we want. However, the forecast will have many changes before that gets here.
Jo brought us devotion today and shared with us a devotion based on hurricane hangers. She wrote a poem with hurricane hangers reminding us of our walk with Jesus and how he holds on to us. It was an awesome poem. Thanks so much Jo. We then discussed our day yesterday, and plans for today. We had a good safety discussion reminding everyone how one mis-step or fall can change our lives forever. Be careful everyone.
We got the team started at Jackie’s house and then we drove out in the country, about 23 miles to our next house needing work. It was a nice drive with a lot of interesting yard decorations, peacocks, roosters, tractors. We met the very nice homeowners, Jim and Mary, and toured the mobile home with Jeff. We will be doing several things here but the largest job is rebuilding a bathroom. Everything will be removed and rebuilt. We will tear down to the floor joist and then bring it back to life. We will start demolition tomorrow. Should be a good rebuild.
The remainder of the day was spent with everyone working on various items. There was baseboard installed in a bedroom and window trim as well. Crown was painted. Caulking was done. The master bath got it’s first coat of paint. The master closet ceiling got a coat of ceiling paint and the walls are ready for a coat of paint. Doors were taken down and the ends painted as well. It was a busy day. Things are starting to look good but there is still much to do.
Oh, we promised you yesterday that we would show you the finished threshold at Cheryl’s. Max and Bruce went back there this afternoon to retrieve all the leftover building supplies and tools and took a picture.

It started raining off and on last night and continued this morning. Good sleeping weather. It was cloudy, dreary and drizzling most of the day.
The Hills led us in our devotion time this morning. Using scripture from Hebrews and Psalm, Carol reminded us that an old traditional anchor has a section that looks like a cross. Jesus is our anchor. The cross is our anchor yesterday, today, and forever. Thanks, Carol and Dave.
We divided up beginning tasks and headed to our job sites. Susan went back to Cheryl’s with Mike and Dave. Anne went to Jackie’s with Jo, Cindy, Bruce, Carol, Mike and Lee. Again, Max stayed very busy running between the two jobs and the warehouse keeping us all in supplies and helping out where needed. We all stayed very busy and accomplished a lot, but didn’t get many pictures. At Cheryl’s they worked the punch list. Everything is done except the final clean up of the job site and possibly an exhaust fan. Great job! At Jackie’s lots was done. A closet ceiling was textured by Lee and Jo as well as some Kilz in the closet and master bath. Carol resumed painting in one of the bed rooms. Mike and Bruce installed furnace registers, took down a built-in cabinet, took down some doors for paint on tome and bottom, moved lots of stuff for us while Cindy painted, sanded, Kilzed and worked on some drywall. Anne was busy going between all the tasks. Good day. We will see what tomorrow brings. We are awaiting another house assignment.
