Yesterday was another very nice day. Cool in the morning for a good walk and then in the 90’s in the afternoon. No rain again. Nice because the parking areas have finally dried up and we don’t get mud on our tires when we bring the rig back to the campground in the afternoon. Saturday was a day for cleaning up the rig and washing clothes. Friday in the cabinet shop brought in a lot of sawdust and polishing dust so there was a lot of vacuuming and dusting to be done. We will be back in the cabinet shop Monday and it will have to be done again but that is just part of it.

Today we were up again early to get our walk in before church and again it was only 68. Nice. We went back to Red Bay First UMC at 10:30 for worship and it was another good service. It was youth Sunday and the youth did a great job. We stayed in the air conditioning during the early afternoon, relaxing and reading and then we went to a community gospel music program tonight in the park. Many of the churches in Red Bay participated with various members playing instruments and singing. There were about 200 people in the park singing. It was a fun evening.

Now we have to get Fred packed up again to be back in cabinet shop at 7:00 tomorrow. Hopefully we will finish in cabinet and start paint tomorrow. We are hoping to be back in Tuscaloosa by Wednesday. Maybe.

Another very nice day in Red Bay. Cool morning, pretty warm afternoon but nice breeze most of the time. Actually it stayed cloudy most of the day until evening when it cleared off and a wonderful view of the full moon and Mars. Nice day.

We spent the day in the cabinet shop. We had thought we would be there maybe until about noon, but nope, all day. And we will be back in the cabinet shop at 7:00 am Monday morning. So what did we do today? They cabinet guys polished our counter tops. They look really nice. It’s a service Tiffin provides for owners shortly before the one year bumper to bumper warranty expires. We also had some cabinet doors that needed adjustment. One that we thought just needed adjustment the techs decided needed replacing. That door will be built Monday morning. We also had a cabinet that we thought needed adjustment that Tiffin said needed to be replaced. They are building the replacement cabinet and that too should be completed Monday morning and reinstalled. However, to remove the cabinet they also had to remove the microwave convection oven.  Since they didn’t reinstall the cabinet we are spending the weekend without our microwave.  How do you live a weekend without a microwave?  This should be interesting.  The guys did a great job today and we will be spending another weekend in Red Bay. Oh well, there are much worse places to be and we really appreciate Tiffin repairing items that we didn’t even know needed repairing. Still really happy with Fred.

This evening we had more time to visit with fellow Tiffin owners, share information about NOMADS and just generally talk RVs. Nice evening for walking around the campground. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

The weather has been nicer the past few days with cooler mornings but still 90 or so by the afternoon. No rain the past few days either. Wednesday and today were just waiting days. We were told we had to go to cabinet shop before going to paint and the cabinet shop has been backed up. Yesterday and this morning we did our 3.4 miles and then worked around the rig, visited with people, told the NOMADS story and handed out NOMADS pamphlets. Yesterday afternoon we took another walk to town to the Cardinal drive-in. It appears to be an old Sonic that now has local ownership. We got a milk shake and their version of a blizzard. Both were very good. Actually the milkshake was better than Jack’s. Otherwise we have done bookwork, read, and tried to sale some real estate. We have a 7:10 appointment in the morning at the cabinet shop. Don’t think they will finish tomorrow so suspect we will be here thru the weekend. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Monday we were up at 5:00 and back in bay 48 at 6:50. One of our techs was off so Scott continued to work our list on his own. He got the remainder of the LED lights replaced and the slide gasket reinstalled. Scott also replaced the awning lights while he was installing a new wind sensor. He adjusted all the bay doors and the generator slide so it goes in and out a little easier. The window panes didn’t arrive until too late in the day so that project wasn’t started. But we made progress. Unfortunately our radio that they repaired Friday started acting up again. So we pulled back to our site at Camp Red Bay with instructions to be back at 7:00 in the morning. We spent the afternoon visiting and getting to know the new arrivals. The campground was very close to maximum capacity.

So we were back in bay 48 at 6:50 again this morning. This is getting to be like work. Looking forward to a day to sleep in. Today Jeff was back and the first project was our window. Unfortunately, when they opened the packaging containing our two new window panes both panes had scratches. Now we have a whole new window which is fine with us, but now we have to go to the paint bays to get the window trim painted to match the coach.

They also installed a new radio. However, when we moved the coach back to the campsite, waiting for them to call us to the paint station, the radio quit again. They have now determined that when they reinstalled our LEDs they may have caused a short in the speaker wires. Now they just have to find the short. However, the radio is working fine this afternoon so a project for tomorrow. This afternoon Camp Red Bay has no vacancies. There are motorhomes everywhere.

Since we knew we would not get a call to the paint or cabinet shop this afternoon, we went to the factory to take a look at the first of the 2019’s coming off the line. Always fun to see what is changing. They are building some really nice looking rigs but we are still very happy with Fred.

We do not have to be anywhere at 7:00 in the morning so we may sleep in a little. We do have to be ready for a call that we hope will come sometime tomorrow. It will be nice to have all the little things done and get back on the road again.
